Group Trip to the Grand Hotel

The Grand hotel, is one of Taipei’s most prominent landmarks. With a magnificent view of Taipei, and its striking appearance, the Grand Hotel symbolizes Taipei to the world. It has been the site of many important political, culture and social events that have shaped the history of the city. Our private guided tour will take us beyond the lobby and public spaces to the spectacular presidential Suite, the Eisenhower Suite, and the tunnels hidden beneath the hotel. in addition, we will visit the newly opened Grand Hotel Historical Museum which houses memorabilia from significant events
at the Hotel

Following our tour, we will enjoy a Shanghainese lunch featuring Shanghai dumplings and cuisine at the first floorYuan Yuan restaurant. After lunch, the hotel will offer an optional tour of the newly renovated Grand Hotel Club. The club is famous for its facilities which include an Olympic size swimming pool, tennis courts and restaurants.
We will meet in the lobby of the Hotel between 9:45 and 10:00, when our tour will begin. The closest MRT stations are the Yuan Shan and the Jian Tan Stations, both on the red Line. The hotel offers a shuttle bus from the nearby stations. Please see the attachment for the exact location. A schedule will be included in the itinerary.
The Grand Hotel has kindly offered us the tour free of charge. The cost of the set lunch will be NT$800 per person. We hope you can join us for this special tour, it promises to be a fun and informative trip. Please RSVP by September 15th, and let us know if you will be joining us for lunch.
探索臺北，圓山飯店的絕代風華

屹立台灣超過一甲子的圓山大飯店是一棟結合傳統與現代的建築物，創辦人是蔣宋美齡夫人。飯店曾招待過無數來自世界各國的領袖，政要，名人，舉辦過無數次的國宴，見證過歷史上多個重要的時刻。他與我們的記憶是一致的，即使現今多所現代化的國際級飯店林立，亦不能媲美圓山飯店其無限深邃的內在意義。60多年來的圓山飯店，歷盡風華，面對基隆河畔的朝日與夕陽，繼續訴說其美麗的故事。我們非常榮幸地再度帶領會員朋友們探索這棟深具歷史價值的大飯店，深入傳說中的神秘隧道，富麗典雅的總統套房，美國總統艾申豪總統曾下塌的套房。近期剛開放的圓山文物館，圓山聯誼社，最後，特別招待於奧林匹克規格般的游泳池畔品嚐美味的咖啡香。
我們將於九月二十日，星期三，早上9:45-10:00集合於圓山飯店的大廳。您可搭乘捷運紅線於圓山站或是劍潭站下車，圓山飯店各在其一號出口處備有接駁專車服務，詳細地點請參看附件所示。
此次活動將不收取費用，報名截止日為九月十五日。若您想參加午餐，請於報名時一併註名。圓苑亦備有素食套餐可供選擇。希望在漫長的暑假過後能再次與您相見。
