We wanted to express our sincere gratitude to each of you for joining our recent trip to Wanhua Herbal Alley.
Exploring the temple where herbal medicine was originally hidden in slips of paper added a unique and enriching dimension to our journey. It was fascinating to witness the connection between spirituality and health practices.
The stroll from Herbal Alley to Herb Bar was an eye-opener, as we learned about the various herbs beneficial for our bodies and enjoying herbal tea after our morning walk was a refreshing experience.
Indulging in local street food added a delightful taste to our adventure. For those with a preference for vegetarian options, our discovery of a charming pizza house provided a perfect way to conclude the beautiful day.
Your presence made this trip memorable, and we want to thank you for your positive energy throughout the day. We look forward to more such enriching experiences together.

10/24/2023 Annual Autumn Excursion: Stroll in Nature & Health~Excursion to Taichung

What could be better than a day filled with good company, and delightful surprises? WTIC excursion to Taichung provided all that and more, making it an unforgettable adventure for all who were lucky enough to be part of it.
The highlights of the trip was the visit to a towering wind turbine, a marvel of modern engineering. It was a reminder of the boundless potential of renewable energy. The visit not only provided an educational experience but also served as a reminder of our responsibility to take care of our planet.
A delicious lunch that was not only satisfying but also a celebration of local flavors, leaving everyone with a full stomach and happy taste buds.
The icing on the cake was the visit to Johnson Health Tech Company, a global leader in fitness equipment. Here, we had the unique opportunity to try out their cutting-edge fitness equipment. It was a chance to break a sweat, test our limits, and gain insights into the latest advancements in the fitness industry.
WTIC Excursion to Taichung was more than just a trip; it was an experience that strengthened the bonds within our members, reminding us of the importance of good company, shared adventures, and the power of simple yet heartwarming surprises. Each member of the club received a lovely and thoughtful gift. It was a gesture that warmed hearts and added an extra layer of joy to the trip. These surprises truly reflected the bond and appreciation we all shared for being part of this fantastic club.
As we headed back, we were not just returning with souvenirs and photos, but a reminder of the magic that happens when goods come together to explore, learn, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

2023/06/13 WTIC 2023 Annual Lecture

Good afternoon!

It is an honor and a pleasure that we have His Excellency Ambassador George Fraser with us to give us WTIC 2023 online annual lecture today.  On behalf of Welcome to Taipei International Club board of directors, I would like to extend our gratitude to Ambassador Fraser taking his precious time to share with us the characteristics of Micronesian Pacific cultures and people. 

Currently WTIC has more than 240 international and local members, including more than 50 nationalities.  In WTIC, we share same interest, and doing thing together, and appreciate each other as persons rather than as representatives of Nationalities.  For each of our interest group activity and annual event, there is same underlying objective to understand each other’s culture, and through understanding to foster friendship.  

Our topic today is about Micronesian Pacific nations and areas. Micronesian Pacific may be thousands of miles away from us, but to mention the least, today after listening to Ambassador Fraser’s talk, you will be amazed that its surrounding ocean and islands significantly affect daily food on our table.  Micronesian and all of us may seem afar from each other, yet we are actually so profoundly affect to each other’s daily life unnoticed.  We live in a global village and only when we open our world view then we will get further understanding of our neighbors.  

Without further delay, let me give the microphone to our moderator, Mayumi, to introduce Ambassador George Fraser and guide us through today’s program.  I am thankful to all of your support and attend today’s lecture.  Thank you very much.

06/06/2023 Art & Culture: Beitou Museum’s “East Wind Goes West” 18th Century Qing Dynasty Export Porcelain

On June 6th, the Art & Culture Group visited the Beitou Museum for its well curated “East Wind goes West-18th Century Qing Dynasty Popular Export Porcelainsin Europe” Exhibition. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Director Hung Kan and WTIC Consulting Adviser Lisette Lou for their comprehensive explanation on the porcelain and silverware collections. The 9-course Kaiseki Ryori was delicious too.

It was a nice closure before we take our summer break. We would like to thank you for your support and wish you all the best on your summer travels!

WTIC Amazing Thai Cooking Demonstration on May 1st was a huge success. Wonderful programs, stunning performances, not to mention the tasty Thai foods and much much more happy faces who won the lucky draw presents.
