To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the NHM has once again collaborated with Taiwan’s most prestigious collectors’ society, “CHING WAN,” to showcase an extraordinary exhibition titled “HIDDEN GEMS,” featuring artworks, most of which are valued at over a billion dollars.
Thanks to our Chair, Susan, we were warmly greeted by NHM’s newly inaugurated Director, Mr. Hung Shih-Yu, and Senior Researcher Mr. Audi Chen. Their presence undoubtedly made the museum’s docent-guided tour a wonderful experience.
Despite earlier discussions and efforts to simplify the menu options for a more efficient dining experience at the museum restaurant, the outcome fell short of expectations. We sincerely thank our members for their patience and understanding.

觀展結束,部分會員緊接著再去拼一場「大美不言」;有些則是到「故宮晶華」享用午餐。天公作美,美食與精神饗宴都品嚐到了。 The two most popular recent exhibitions at the National Palace Museum are, undoubtedly, The Splendor of Dream of the Red Chamber and Beauty Speaks for Itself.
On November 6, we had the pleasure of viewing both exhibitions. The Red Chamber tour, led by Museum Docent Liang Bailing, was fascinating and rich in historical insight.
After the tour, some members continued on to Beauty Speaks for Itself, while others enjoyed lunch at the Silks Palace restaurant. With comfortable weather, we enjoyed both a feast for the senses and a culinary delight.

We were truly fortunate to visit the CHIMEI Museum in Tainan just before the “From Raphael to Van Gogh: Masterpieces from the National Gallery, London” exhibition concluded. This international showcase, celebrating the National Gallery’s 200th anniversary, has drawn 400,000 visitors in each of four major Asian cities—Shanghai, Seoul, Hong Kong, and finally, Tainan—since its debut early last year.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Vivienne and Susan for their unwavering support, which enabled us to attend this special exhibition despite the tickets being completely sold out online. We are also deeply grateful to former Vice President, Liao Wan-ru, of the CHIMEI Museum and wife of the Minister of MOFA for graciously joining us during lunch and sharing the rich history of the CHIMEI Museum. Her presence was undoubtedly the highlight of the day.
Thank you all for your participation, making this yet another truly enriching artistic experience.

On an unexpected rainy day, we set out on our planned trip despite concerns about cancellation due to the weather. Over our 10 years of Exploration Group, we’ve planned our trips very cautiously, rarely letting anyone down. Despite the rain, our trip was both enjoyable and educational, offering insights into how tea farmers respect their land and live harmoniously with nature. After drinking a cup of tea brewed to perfection, it’s like experiencing a moment of pure bliss. The taste lingers on your palate, leaving behind a sense of comfort and satisfaction, it was a delightful experience. As we mark our 10th anniversary, we give you a Hakka scarf as a token of our appreciation and commemorate our trip to Chingyuan Tea Farm, thanks to your support. Let’s relive the happy moments by browsing through our Google photo album. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Qf6kbJKSJAq6ZpCQA
