| A Glance Backward At The Passing Two Decades |
Like the snapping of the fingers, the Welcome to Taipei International Club has suddenly crept over a quarter of a century. We sigh when we think of the rapidity of time, and we are joyous of the wonderful growth of the Club for the dedication of those who have paved the road for the generations to come. My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for the colorful memories of the past.
I remember so vividly the moment that Madame Frederick Chien, then wife of the Representative of the Republic of China to the United States, invited a group of ladies, myself and my good friends, Mme. Winifred Shen, Mme. Konsin Sha, Mme.Lily Chiu, Mme. Julie Tang, Mme. Chritine Lin, Mme. Wang, Prof. Elizabeth Lamb and Mme. Margaret Pei, to establish the Taipei Chapter of the WTI. We unified to build a firm and strong bridge toward cultural exchange between East and West.
