The Tzu Chi Foundation means so much for my country, El Salvador. 

There is no word that can exactly describe how we, the Salvadoran people, feel so grateful for the great work done by Tzu Chi.  Since the first moment of the very grave earthquake occurred in 2001, Tzu Chi helped us recover from the natural disaster.  

Recently, my country has suffered a serious and difficult situation caused by the intense rainfall. It rained continuously for 11 days. As ambassador, I requested help from Tzu Chi. One day later I was informed that a group of Tzu Chi volunteers have arrived in El Salvador to offer their assistance.

From Tzu Chi, I have learned the meaning of great love, unselfishness and attribution.  Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to convey to Tzu Chi my sincerest and heartfelt gratitude.
