All of our WTIC Founders, Former Presidents, Consulting Advisers, and Honorary Members And, all our cherished members, new and old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good Afternoon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d like to sincerely thank you all for the great honor you have bestowed upon me as the new President of WTIC.  As a new member of the club, I am deeply humbled by the trust you have placed in me, especially when this comes from all of you who have contributed so much to the club over the years, and are certainly more capable than I am of assuming this position.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nonetheless, as I have come to understand, it is customary for the wife of the Foreign Minister to assume the WTIC presidency.  So, it seems that I cannot, but humbly accept this position, which is obviously well beyond my ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I therefore sincerely plead for your patience with my inexperience and shortcomings, as well as for your guidance over the next two years, so that the club continues to thrive for all members and to provide strong support to our honorary members during their stay here in Taiwan. At the same time, I pledge to do my best to learn, to fulfill my duties, to honor your trust, and to uphold the valuable traditions of our beloved club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also like to take this opportunity to thank the newly elected board members for your dedication to leading various committees and interest groups in the future. I\u2019m sure your commitment to public service is greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most importantly, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our most beloved Madame Julie Chien and all senior members for their decades of dedication to the club, and also to President Joan Fuh and former President Jeannie Tien for their warm guidance, which has made this transition to presidency much smoother and less daunting for me. Thank you so very much. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, on behalf of the new board of directors and supervisors, I would like to congratulate our two newly elected Vice Presidents, Madame Lily Chiu and Madame Meng Yao Hsieh. Vice President Lily Chiu is one of WTIC\u2019s founders and has been a dedicated supporter of the club for decades.  We are very fortunate to have her continuous support as our mentor. As for Vice President Meng Yao Hsieh, she is the wife of the Deputy Minister of the Foreign Ministry.  She currently serves as the Director of the Taiwan Law and Policy Research Foundation.  I\u2019m certain that, with her expertise, the WTIC is in good hands more than ever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, I am also very pleased to announce that Madame Candice Shen will assume the important role as our new Executive Secretary.   Candice has extensive experience in the news media and cultural sector, and she was stationed in Saudi Arabia with her husband for 7 years  prior to returning to Taiwan last year.  She currently serves as Special Assistant to the CEO at the \u5ed6\u74ca\u679d Taiwanese Opera Foundation, in addition to pursuing a doctoral degree, and being a good mother and wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am very touched that Candice has agreed to help us on top of all her busy work.  A super woman indeed.  I\u2019m sure that with her enthusiasm and impressive capabilities, Candice will be an invaluable asset to the club.  And I hope you\u2019ll find her service and her sunshine to your liking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, once again, thank you all very much for your support and recognition.  On behalf of the board of directors, I wish you all peace, happiness, and good health in the year ahead.  And we all have a wonderful day today.  Thank you so very much.

\u771f\u7684\u975e\u5e38\u611f\u8b1d\u5927\u5bb6\uff0c\u9858\u610f\u5c07\u5982\u6b64\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u8077\u52d9\u8a17\u4ed8\u5728\u6211\u9019\u4f4d\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u65b0\u6210\u54e1\u7684\u8eab\u4e0a\u3002\u6b64\u523b\u7684\u6211\uff0c\u9664\u4e86\u611f\u6fc0\u5927\u5bb6\u7684\u4fe1\u4efb\uff0c\u5176\u5be6\u5167\u5fc3\u662f\u975e\u5e38\u5fd0\u5fd1\u7684\u3002\u56e0\u70ba\u5728\u5ea7\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u4f4d\u90fd\u6bd4\u6211\u8cc7\u6df1\u3001\u90fd\u66fe\u7d93\u5728\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u6295\u5165\u591a\u5e74\u7684\u5fc3\u8840\u3001\u4e5f\u90fd\u6bd4\u6211\u66f4\u6709\u8cc7\u683c\u64d4\u4efb\u9019\u500b\u8077\u52d9\u3002\u6211\u53ea\u662f\u6bd4\u8f03\u5e78\u904b\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u8eab\u70ba\u5916\u4ea4\u90e8\u9577\u592b\u4eba\u800c\u88ab\u8ce6\u4e88\u4e86\u9019\u6a23\u7684\u91cd\u8cac\u5927\u4efb\u3002\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u6211\u4e5f\u53ea\u80fd\u4ee5\u6230\u6230\u5162\u5162\u7684\u5fc3\u60c5\uff0c\u8b19\u5351\u5730\u63a5\u4e0b\u9019\u500b\u660e\u986f\u8d85\u8d8a\u6211\u81ea\u8eab\u80fd\u529b\u7684\u8077\u8cac\u3002\u6211\u6703\u52aa\u529b\u8ddf\u524d\u8f29\u5011\u5b78\u7fd2\uff0c\u671f\u671b\u4e0d\u8f9c\u8ca0\u5404\u4f4d\u7684\u8a17\u4ed8\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4f5c\u70ba\u4e00\u500b\u65b0\u6210\u54e1\uff0c\u672a\u4f86\u5728\u6703\u52d9\u7684\u63a8\u5c55\u65b9\u9762\uff0c\u52e2\u5fc5\u975e\u5e38\u9700\u8981\u4ef0\u4ed7\u5404\u4f4d\u524d\u8f29\u7684\u5354\u52a9\u8207\u6307\u5c0e\uff0c\u597d\u8b93\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u53ef\u4ee5\u6301\u7e8c\u9806\u5229\u7684\u904b\u4f5c\uff0c\u4f86\u670d\u52d9\u5168\u9ad4\u6703\u54e1\uff0c\u548c\u78ba\u4fdd\u69ae\u8b7d\u6703\u54e1\u5011\u5728\u53f0\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u80fd\u5920\u611f\u53d7\u5230\u50cf\u5bb6\u4e00\u822c\u7684\u6eab\u6696\u8207\u652f\u6301\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\u5728\u6b64\uff0c\u8981\u61c7\u8acb\u5404\u4f4d\u5305\u5bb9\u6211\u5c0d\u6703\u52d9\u7684\u751f\u758f\u8207\u80fd\u529b\u7684\u4e0d\u8db3\uff0c\u5f15\u9818\u6211\u9806\u5229\u7684\u5b8c\u6210\u9019\u5169\u5e74\u7684\u6703\u9577\u4efb\u671f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u8981\u7279\u5225\u611f\u8b1d\u65b0\u7576\u9078\u7684\u7406\u76e3\u4e8b\u5011\uff0c\u8b1d\u8b1d\u5927\u5bb6\u9858\u610f\u5728\u672a\u4f86\u7684\u5169\u5e74\u7121\u79c1\u5949\u737b\u3001\u627f\u64d4\u8cac\u4efb\u3002\u76f8\u4fe1\u6703\u54e1\u5011\u90fd\u975e\u5e38\u611f\u8b1d\u5927\u5bb6\u5c0d\u516c\u5171\u670d\u52d9\u7684\u71b1\u5ff1\u548c\u5c0d\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u7684\u4ed8\u51fa\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u66f4\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u8981\u5411\u9322\u592b\u4eba\u4ee5\u53ca\u6b77\u5e74\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u7684\u5e79\u90e8\u5011\u81f4\u4e0a\u6700\u8aa0\u646f\u7684\u656c\u610f\u3002\u611f\u8b1d\u5927\u5bb6\u904e\u53bb\u591a\u5e74\u7684\u4ed8\u51fa\uff0c\u8b93\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u767c\u5c55\u5230\u5982\u4eca\u7684\u898f\u6a21\u548c\u8cea\u611f\u3002\u540c\u6642\uff0c\u4e5f\u8981\u7279\u5225\u611f\u8b1d\u74ca\u96f2\u6703\u9577\u4ee5\u53ca\u6bc5\u541b\u6703\u9577\uff0c\u5169\u4f4d\u7684\u6eab\u6696\u6307\u5c0e\uff0c\u8b93\u6211\u5728\u6e96\u5099\u63a5\u4efb\u6703\u9577\u524d\u5c11\u4e86\u4e00\u4efd\u7684\u5fd0\u5fd1\u3002\u7531\u8877\u611f\u8b1d\u5169\u4f4d\u524d\u6703\u9577\u7684\u5354\u52a9\uff01<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u540c\u6642\uff0c\u8b39\u4ee3\u8868\u65b0\u4efb\u7684\u7406\u76e3\u4e8b\u6703\u606d\u559c\u5169\u4f4d\u65b0\u4efb\u526f\u6703\u9577\uff0c\u90b1\u7530\u740d\u740d\u5973\u58eb\u4ee5\u53ca\u8b1d\u5b5f\u7464\u5973\u58eb\u3002\u740d\u740d\u526f\u6703\u9577\u662fWTIC\u7684\u5275\u59cb\u6703\u54e1\uff0c\u771f\u7684\u975e\u5e38\u611f\u8b1d\u8cc7\u6df1\u7684\u5979\u9858\u610f\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5f15\u9818\u6211\u5011\u5927\u5bb6\u3002\u800c\u5b5f\u7464\u526f\u6703\u9577\uff0c\u662f\u5916\u4ea4\u90e8\u5433\u5fd7\u4e2d\u653f\u52d9\u6b21\u9577\u7684\u592b\u4eba\u3002\u672c\u8eab\u662f\u73fe\u4efb\u8ca1\u5718\u6cd5\u4eba\u53f0\u7063\u6cd5\u6cbb\u66a8\u653f\u7b56\u7814\u7a76\u57fa\u91d1\u6703\u7684\u57f7\u884c\u9577\uff0c\u76f8\u4fe1\u6709\u5979\u5c08\u696d\u7684\u5354\u52a9\uff0c\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u7684\u904b\u4f5c\u5c07\u6703\u5982\u864e\u6dfb\u7ffc\u4e00\u822c\u7684\u9806\u66a2\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u540c\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4e5f\u975e\u5e38\u69ae\u5e78\u9080\u8acb\u5230\u6d3b\u6f51\u71b1\u5fc3\uff0c\u800c\u4e14\u80fd\u529b\u5353\u8d8a\u7684\u6c88\u79c0\u6021\u592b\u4eba\uff0c\u4f86\u64d4\u4efb\u8fce\u65b0\u6703\u7e3d\u5e79\u4e8b\u4e00\u8077\u3002\u79c0\u6021\u7e3d\u5e79\u4e8b\u64c1\u6709\u8c50\u5bcc\u7684\u5a92\u9ad4\u548c\u6587\u5316\u754c\u7684\u5de5\u4f5c\u7d93\u9a57\uff0c\u66fe\u7d93\u966a\u4f34\u592b\u5a7f\u9127\u76db\u5e73\u516c\u4f7f\u99d0\u6c99\u70cf\u5730\u963f\u62c9\u4f2f\u591a\u5e74\u3002\u76ee\u524d\u7684\u5979\uff0c\u9664\u4e86\u5728\u5ed6\u74ca\u679d\u6b4c\u4ed4\u6232\u57fa\u91d1\u6703\u64d4\u4efb\u57f7\u884c\u9577\u7279\u52a9\u548c\u5a92\u9ad4\u516c\u95dc\u4e4b\u5916\uff0c\u540c\u6642\u4e5f\u5728\u653b\u8b80\u535a\u58eb\u5b78\u4f4d\u3002\u5728\u9019\u9ebc\u5fd9\u788c\u7684\u60c5\u6cc1\u4e0b\uff0c\u9084\u9858\u610f\u64d4\u4efb\u7e3d\u5e79\u4e8b\u9019\u500b\u8077\u52d9\uff0c\u771f\u7684\u8b93\u6211\u975e\u5e38\u7684\u611f\u52d5\u3002\u624d\u525b\u56de\u570b\u7684\u5979\u89aa\u5207\u53c8\u6709\u624d\u80fd\uff0c\u5df2\u7d93\u7372\u5f97\u76f8\u7576\u591a\u6703\u54e1\u5011\u7684\u80af\u5b9a\uff0c\u4e5f\u8b93\u6211\u5c0d\u672a\u4f86\u6703\u52d9\u7684\u63a8\u52d5\u500d\u611f\u5b89\u5fc3\u3002\u5e0c\u671b\u5927\u5bb6\u6703\u8ddf\u6211\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u559c\u6b61\u79c0\u6021\u6eab\u6696\u958b\u6717\u7684\u670d\u52d9\u3002 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
