It was the time for WTIC members to participate in one of our most important events – the 2014 Annual Registration Luncheon. Members and guests came together at Regent Taipei Hotel on December 3rd, 2013 to renew club membership, reelect the 2014 board , and refresh the friendship.
WTIC President Queeny Lin, as well as WTIC re-elected President of 2014, opened the Annual Meeting with heartwarming welcome remarks. She expressed her deep gratitute for the board and work committee members' hard work and all members' active participation, which contributed to the success of the club. Executive Secretary Vivienne Shen presented the 2013 annual report and showed newly- issued newsletter, edited by Juling Chang, and specially recognized the club volunteers for their selfless devotion over the past year. Treasurer Cecilia Sa proposed the 2013 financial statement as well as the2014 budget.
WTIC 13 Interest Groups have been continously adding more colors and vibrancy to our club. Each Chair or co-Chair gave a brief talk about their groups. Their inviting stories on the learning and exploratory journeys attracted many members of interest in joining. The Sewing Group members all wore their beautiful self-made garments proudly as their fruit of the year at the Luncheon.
The highlight of the program was the performance of traditional Taiwanese and Chinese music ensemble – Chai Found Music Workshop. They performed with 6 most representative Chinese Instruments and captured the audience with their sensuous music and flawless collaboration. The performance ended with the group accompanied as all of us sang "Silent Night", led by Mei-Yen Kao.
Members and guests enjoyed the delicious buffet in a joyful atmosphere of Christmas season. As always, everybody appreciated the company of one another and had a wonderful gathering once again.
