Discoverying African Cuisine
With Madam Rihanata Sawadogo (Burkina Faso)

We were honored to have Madam Rihanata Sawadogo, spouse of H.E. Ambassador of Burkina Faso to show us how to prepare the most popular specialty of Burkina Faso, the famous To, made of corn flour and served with sauce feuilles au poulet (mixed green vegetable sauce with chicken).  Participants not only could taste the traditional dishes, but also enjoy watching the fashion show of their traditional costumes.  After lunch, Madam Sawadogo led everyone to join in for a folk dance to complete the ritual of Burkina Faso traditions after each special meal.
