WTIC members visited this private museum, as the first Art & Culture Interest Group event of the year. All the pieces are designed by the director Sofeen Hu, a Myanmarese of Chinese descent, and carved by master craftsmen. This is a traditional artistic medium entirely reimagined, transformed and brought up to date with enormous technical facility and creativity. Each sculpture has its own story based on love, beauty and awakening to life. Members were treated to a guided tour by a highly educated and enthusiastic docent who spoke beautiful English.
