Coffee Reception

We were honored to have Ms. Yi-Ling Wu, Secretary General of the Taiwan Coffee Association, and Ms. Grace Chen, President of Taipei Specialty Coffee Association, as our speakers of the day. Both speakers gave an introduction to coffee farms in Central America as well as Taiwan-grown beans. Ms. Chen later gave a demonostration on Syphon Coffee technique to the audience. Furthermore, the 2010 Asia Barista Champion, Mr. Hung-Chang Chuang also demonstrated his award-winning creation "Azalea", which was later served to everyone. The Q&A session on Central American Culture and Coffee was hosted by Mr. Simon Hsing, Executive Director of CATO (Central America Trade Office). Participants were given the chance to taste various coffee flavors from Central American countries, and five lucky members received door prizes.
