The Day of the Dead (El Dia de los Muertos) is the most distinctive holiday of Mexico's
calendar. The belief underlying all ceremonies is that the spirits of the dead return to earth on
this day to be with their families and loved ones -to eat, drink, be merry and relive the good
memories. It is a time of remembrance, and the sorrow of the departure of loved ones is caught
up in a celebration of the continuance of life.
Join us at this interesting festival at the Museum of World Religions! During the
90-minute-long program we will get to learn the Mexican culture and their concept of life and
death. There is even an "§alt a"
constructed on site!
Participants are welcome to stay for afternoon tea after the museum visit (at your own expenses)
to meet new members and catch up with old friends. We would like to take this opportunity to
thank Madame Cecilia Munozledo for sponsoring this interesting activity.
