On the 21st of October 2008, WTIC held a tea party at the Caesar Park Hotel, Taipei presenting Maestro Hector Saavedra Mier a noted guitar artist in concert. Maestro Mier is a worldwide renowned guitarist. We are very fortunate to be able to invite him to our gathering for a private concert for the WTIC members only. We thank Mme. Cecilia Munnoz Ledo, wife of the Head of Mexican Trade Services Documentation and Cultural Office, and our President Chi-hsuan Li Hou warmly for their arrangement of this special occasion.

Maestro Mier brought us nine beautiful Mexican melodies, which reveal the blending of European romantic style and Mexican characteristics. His exquisite attention to details, without losing the music intensity, surely took us to an uncharted but familiar territory.
