Ping-pong is a versatile sport and easy to start a match in anywhere. It can be played regardless of weather or time of day. You can play singles, but playing doubles is even more fun. It’s also a great aerobic workout, when you play regularly, it improves reflexes, hand-eye coordination and balance, while toning and strengthening the core muscles, upper and lower body. It’s great for working up a sweat and increasing your heart rate.

While the pandemic of COVID-19 in 2020, we never stop practicing even throughout the summer time in July and August, we are so eager to see each other every Thursday at 10:00am in Taipei City Jhong Jheng Sports Center. Everyone keeps their enthusiasm and shows significant improvement in playing the game. After two hours of exercise, we would like to have lunch and coffee, sharing our daily life, that is the most interesting part in our group.

We’re sad to say farewell to our friend Christine S. (from Indonesia and Finland) and 町子 (from Japan and US). They will be accompanying their husbands to new posts abroad. We welcome new ping-pong teammates to our group, including Masako (泉正子) from Japan, Sarah TdeB from England and Meimin from Taiwan. They made our group more lively and our matches are more competitive than ever.

I look forward to having new members join us – all levels of experience and fitness are welcome! By training and cheering for one another, making ourselves strong and healthy. I hope to see you at the Taipei City Jhong Jheng Sports Center. Let’s play Ping-Pong!
